A.M. Best Recognizes AUL for 60 years of Financial StrengthMonday, August 30th, 2010
Letter from Dayton H. Molendorp, Chairman, President and CEO, OneAmerica Financial Partners, Inc.:
OneAmerica’s financial strength and positive momentum continue in 2010. Through the first seven months, our strength and growth measures show that we are performing at a high level and meeting our strategic goals. In addition, both A.M. Best and Standard and Poor’s have affirmed our strong ratings in the last two months, with A.M. Best revising our outlook from stable to positive.
I am also pleased to report that AUL was recognized recently in Best’s Review magazine, the official publication of A.M. Best. Reaching an audience of 50,000 agents, brokers and insurance executives, the article titled “Standing the Test of Time,” recognizes insurance companies that have maintained a rating of A or higher for more than 50 straight years. As part of the piece, AUL is noted for beginning its streak 60 years ago in 1950.
What makes this achievement more compelling is the small number of companies that were recognized. Out of the 1017 life and health insurance companies rated by A.M. Best, AUL was one of just 26 companies noted for 60 or more consecutive years of financial strength.
Being recognized for more than a half-century of strength dovetails with our commitment to providing long-term value to our customers, and being there when they need us most. As always, strength over time requires the ongoing focus, diligence and hard work of our employees and producers. So this is an achievement that we all share and celebrate.
